For years, this hilltop was simply a vantage point for watching the weather roll across the plains. Now, it stands as a sanctuary. With every building stone laid by hand, the structure feels like a natural extension of the earth, opening outwards onto a sweeping Terrace and Sundowner Deck that face nothing but the vast valley and sky.
Set atop Olepolos Hill in Loodariak, Ilchoreta Castle overlooks the Southern Rift Valley, revealing a breathtaking terrain of rolling hills and amazing plains. Whether you are taking in the vastness of the landscape, birdwatching, or simply looking to unwind, the surrounding environment provides an unparalleled backdrop.
At 1,800 metres, the view simply keeps going — valley, ridge, sky, all the way to the horizon.
The pool deck is a regular stop for the local birdlife. Pull up a chair at sundown and see who comes to drink.

We understand that plans can change. To ensure fairness to all guests and our staff, our cancellation policy operates on the following schedule (percentages apply to the total booking amount):
- 15 to 30 days prior to arrival: 100% refund
- 7 to 14 days prior to arrival: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days prior to arrival: Non-refundable

- Check-in is any time after 1:00 PM.
- Check-out is any time before 11:00 AM.

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. We ask that all dogs are house-trained, socialised, and not inclined to chase animals or birds — you may encounter ours on the grounds.
